I can’t count how many times I’ve been called to look at something, and KNOWN what the issue was, only to be told that I’m wrong by the user who called me, because someone else once told them otherwise.
Look, if you’re calling me, it’s because you’re out of options, and the wisdom you’ve gathered thus far, has failed you. Please don’t tell me I’m wrong.
Like your theme, I could probably have done a month of work whinges as well:-)thanks for sharingmartine
You're not wrong!
Ha ha! I am not an IT person, but I do here this and so many other comments oh so often! I help my family and friends with their technological issues {along with many other problems}, and I often here, "Well are you sure that's gonna work? I tried it already, and it didn't work when I tried it!" Only to have fixed their problem, and say "Well, it is working now!" {And think, "obviously, that is not what you tried!"}
I know how you feel. By the way, I need my password reset ASAP. Ha-ha! Wonder what "C" is going to be…
Thanks! You should try it sometime, it's quite liberating. π
Neither are you! π
Heh! That's my favorite. It works because I'm magic then, I guess…
Haha, perhaps that'll be my "P". I have NO idea what C will be yet… I wonder as well! π
Good Stuff. I will say, I heard the same thing.
Oh, yeah, I've run into customers like that in my various lines of work over the years. If they're so smart, why don't they do it themselves?
I've never done that. Nope. *whistles and looks towards the sky*
Haha, Suuuure…
Yep! They're all over the place. Architects are bad, but police think they know everything!
Thank you sir!
OMG! My husband is an IT Manager, and I hear stories like this from him all the time, plus many more.
Does your husband blog? I find it quite relaxing after working a day at a job that is decidedly NOT.
He doesn't blog, but I am going to refer him to yours. He would definitely agree with you about the relaxing work day comment. His work is anything but relaxing. I don't know how you IT professionals do it.
